Summer Days KAL
November 5 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 2:00pm on Tuesday, repeating until November 5, 2019
Summer Days may be over, but this little shrug/bolero will be great for the Fall weather ahead; layer it, and wear it all year round. What makes this pattern even better is that it can be knit for a 6 month to a 14 year old child! It is completely seamless and knit from the top down. Elena Nodel has borrowed a technique from Susie Myers called “contiguous set in sleeves”. This technique allows set-in sleeves and shoulder shaping without using short rows. Sleeves are worked at the same time as the rest of the shrug/bolero.
Any sport weight yarn, cotton or wool, or their blend can be used for this shrug/bolero. I will be using Cherub DK and have gotten gauge on a US 5 needle. Gauge is 24 stitches and 32 rows on a US 4. Getting gauge and liking the look of what you knit in your swatch is important.
I will be leading this KAL beginning October 15 and ending October 29; 2 PM – 4 PM.
There is no charge for a KAL; however, we would like you to buy any needles or yarn for the KAL from our shop.
