February 19 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 12:30pm on Wednesday, repeating until February 19, 2020
This is a 2 part, approximately 1 1/2 hour each session.
1st Session- you will learn how to cast on, the knit stitch and the purl stitch if time permits and how to read a basic pattern as you knit fingerless mitts using these basic stitches. The first mitt should be completed, ready to bind off before the second session.
2nd Session-you will learn how to bind off your project. How to weave in the ends/ seam will be demonstrated and practiced if time permits. Also, you will learn how to combine knits and purls to create different designs for the mitts
If there is a pattern you would like to learn/work on, further classes can be scheduled for your individual needs. Pattern for dishcloth will be available if you wish to try a more advanced pattern.
Homework: None necessary but it is recommended that you watch a video to become familiar with the terms we will use – a beginning knitting one that shows how to make a slip knot is a suggestion.
Cost $30 for both sessions plus materials- size 8 needles and worsted wt yarn, available at the shop
part 1 is Wed Feb 19@12:30
part2 is Wed Mar 4@12:30- please note date/time of part 2 as it is not listed on the calendar
