May 3 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 3, 2019
This is a 2 part, approximately 1 1/2 hour each session. (part 1)
1st Session- you will learn how to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and how to read a basic pattern as you knit a dishcloth or fingerless mitts using these basic stitches. The dishcloth/mitt should be completed, ready to bind off before the second session.
2nd Session-you will learn how to bind off your project. How to weave in the ends/ seam will be demonstrated and practiced if time permits.
If there is a pattern you would like to learn/work on, further classes can be scheduled for your individual needs.
Homework: None necessary but it is recommended that you watch a video to become familiar with the terms we will use – a beginning knitting one that shows how to make a slip knot is a suggestion.
Cost $30 for both sessions plus materials- size 8 needles and worsted wt yarn, available at the shop
Please note: part 2 of this class will be the following Friday, 5/10 @1:00
