Knit to Relax
Purls of wisdom await you
Knit n Purl is constantly evolving into something new and different. From its first small space and its cozy atmosphere to a more spacious store with more yarns both old and new, local and imported, lace to bulky. We are committed to providing a classroom for instruction as well as our social table for Knit-A-Longs on multiple ability levels. We invite you to visit a larger and better creative space, yet preserving its original intimate atmosphere.
Knit-N-Purl is a comfortable place for knitters and crocheters to gather and relax. Most days you’ll find the tables full of knitters and crocheters working and laughing and learning. We have a large inventory of fabulous yarns to choose from, many patterns to peruse and loads of accessories. We have a huge selection of display items to help you see how the yarns and patterns work up.
The shop is owned by Martina Gardner. Together with Molly, Arlene, Ingrid, Denise and Margaret we offer classes, assistance and encouragement. Stop by to see us. The social tables are open to everyone and the coffee is always on and treats on the table. We look forward to seeing you.

In a previous life I was a high school art teacher. I learned how to knit after becoming caregiver for my father who is a stroke patient. I needed something productive to do while sitting in waiting rooms, doctor’s offices & rehab facilities so… my Mom was gracious enough to walk me through it and I was hooked. I’ve been knitting for about 10 years now and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t learn something new. I’m in my 7th year as a part of the KNP family and hope to have many more years working for Phyllis.

Additional Information: I have been knitting for almost five years. I like knitting for friends: A knitted gift is a gift of time and love. I like felting, and occasionally, trying new things. I find that YouTube has become one of my favorite sources of help when one of my many manuals doesn’t readily solve my problem on the project at hand.
Wish List: That Knit N purl will last long and prosper.
